Old Car – Yarnell, AZ – November 23, 2013

Old Car Yarnell 1

November 2006. My beautiful wife Sheri Lynn and I, along with our friend Brian went for a drive up through Yarnell, and into Prescott for the day. We drove through some residential neighborhoods, and saw this really old rusted out car in a front yard. Above is the “original” image rendered into a jpeg.

Old Car Yarnell 2

Above image after a little Photoshop magic, to make the background less “urban”. I remember spending hours playing in Photoshop on this image.  2 more examples below of the same image but different looks.

Old House – Goodyear, AZ – August 9, 2013

Old House - Goodyear, AZ

This image was shot in August 2012. I left work, and just drove around. To say I took the back roads would be a bit of an understatment. I had my camera, and no place to be for a couple of hours. I shot a couple of abandoned houses, but this is my favorite picture from this little trip. Canon 5D Mark II, EF 17-40 F4 L lens at 17mm, ISO-100, F11, 1/125 sec. hand held, no flash. Sharpness and saturation adjusted in Adobe Lightroom.

Long Exposure – May 3, 2013

Mens Retreat

Palm Valley Church mens group went to Prescot, Az for a retreat May 3-4th. This image is a 30 second exposure, the trees are lit by camp fire. The rest of the images I shot during this weekend can be seen here. Canon 5D Mark II, ISO-800, F4, 24mm, 30 second exposure.
